Coastal communities on Ireland’s western coast...

Aquaculture has been part of the fabric of Irish coastal communities for decades and we're proud to sustain this traditional way of life today. We harness the expertise of our long-serving team members to nurture young talent and preserve this craft for generations to come.

We support over one thousand families and provide opportunities in their local area through direct and indirect employment. This breathes life into coastal communities on the edge of Ireland. It’s seen in a revived sense of connection, increased school enrolment and community spirit. Supporting the social and economic wellbeing of these communities will always be at the heart of our business.

Thriving local communities…

We’re proud to keep this traditional way of life alive. Our people and our communities are what make our business.

From school funding to local sports team sponsorship, we understand the importance of playing an active role in the places in which we operate. Providing employment opportunities in these areas means that people can stay here and grow their families here. We believe that this is essential to ensure these communities continue to thrive for generations to come.

Clubs & Schools Testimonials

“Anytime that our school has approached MOWI, it has been nothing but a positive experience. Their team has completed a day’s team building exercises with our senior pupils which ran without a hitch. The pupils enjoyed this immensely. They have also provided manpower to improve our school environment as well as giving us a financial contribution towards our school Halla, a space that is also used by the wider community. In our experience, MOWI is an asset to our local community and the Board of Management, staff and pupils would like to thank them most sincerely for all that they have done for us.”

“Rathmullan Celtic FC are proud to be long-standing partners of the Irish Organic Salmon Company/Mowi Ireland. This key local employer has been a supporter of our football club for many years, helping to provide a sporting outlet for our many age groups – from Under-8s boys and girls, right up to our Senior Adult teams. We are delighted to have had Mowi Ireland employees both as players and volunteers in our club and we hope to keep working with them for many years to come as they continue to play a positive role within our community.”

“CLG Baile na nGalloglach would like to acknowledge the support of MOWI Ireland to the club with the purchase of vital equipment for the Nursery section of the club now based at Ray Community Centre. We also acknowledge the Company’s contribution to the local community in terms of job creation, providing vital funding to community groups and producing nutritious seafood around the world.”

“Our school approached Mowi Ireland for funding towards ICT equipment in 2020. They very generously accepted our request and promptly granted funding to us. This enabled us to provide tablets and headphones for our students to develop their ICT skills and provide an opportunity to access literacy and numeracy programmes in school. Without their contribution, this would not have been possible.”

“Mowi Ireland, while being right on our doorstep, has been a loyal friend to Scoil Mhuire, Caiseal. In recent years Mowi has assisted us in the purchase of laptops to enable our pupils to move into the digital world. Such investment is vital to small rural communities.

On the sporting front, Mowi has been a huge supporter of our school. In 2019 our girl’s soccer team were runners up in the National Spar 5 a side competition in the Aviva Stadium. Mowi provided much needed sponsorship which again enabled our pupils to compete on the national stage. Such was their investment that we were in a position to purchase a new strip for the school. They have also supported our annual 5K race/walk each September which encourages participation by all in our school community. Without a doubt, we are hugely indebted to Mowi for their ongoing support. Ar scáth a chéile a mhairimid (We live in each other’s shadow).
